Envigour Pilates Health & Wellness

This couldn’t be a more perfect time to reflect on our wellbeing after the last year of mental, emotional, and physical stress.

This month is International Happiness Day, and believe it your happiness is part of something bigger.  We are indeed social species, who thrive on connecting with others.  Modern society is leaving more people feeling disconnected, isolated or lonely, plus the pandemic over the last year has put rise to that.

Some of us through technology (Zoom) have found ways to stay connected, but we desire close contact, and oh my you can’t beat a good ole hug, can you now! Not that I want you to go around hugging everyone! We all know that the world is a much better place when we connect with and care about the people around us.

This couldn’t be a more perfect time to reflect on our wellbeing after the last year of mental, emotional and physical stress. So today make someone happy, say hello to someone new, open a door for someone, simply be kind, it might just be what that person needs. We never really know what’s going on inside someone’s head and how they feel.  So, if someone around you is grumpy or not very receptive, remember its what’s going on in them that they need to deal, so be kind, it goes a long way and might just be what they need to bring a happy smile to their face.

I know through lockdown, that although we have kept our Envigour Pilates community going online (and for some it has been a life line through home schooling), our clients can’t wait to get back in to the studio, and work out with each other again.  As soon as it is allowed there will be lots of group hugs going on for sure.

Pilates helps to release our good hormones ‘endorphins’  into the body, our good feel chemicals which give our body a natural boost.  So, join me for Pilates* and feel HAPPY!  So, I challenge you this month to grab a partner/friend/work colleague and together grab your mats and take yourself through this new thirty minute video. Get moving and bring happiness into your life.  At the end we take a few moments to consider what we are grateful for in our life, and manifest what we want more of.  I’ll give you a few ideas, but take time to think of your own.  I challenge you further to add this into a daily routine on awakening, and I promise you if your consistent you will see magical things start to happen as the universe listens to you and responds.

Exercise not only changes your body,

it changes your mind, your attitude, and your mood.
